EY Law Luxembourg Update

The Luxembourg Business Register has announced changes to the filing requirements with the Luxembourg Trade and Companies’ Register (RCS), effective 12 November 2024. These changes mandate the inclusion of the Luxembourg national identification number (LNIN) for individuals associated with Luxembourg entities.

We have prepared an alert that outlines the background, conditions, potential cases, and the timing for obtaining and filing the LNIN. In the attached document, you will find information on:

  • The upcoming changes and their implications for individuals and firms.
  • The process for obtaining an LNIN for those without a CNS number.
  • The steps EY Law can take on your behalf to facilitate this process, including identifying individuals who require an LNIN, requesting the creation of the LNIN, handling the filing requirements, and providing necessary translations.

Our goal is to make this change as smooth as possible for you.

Yours sincerely,
