EU Omnibus simplification package release guidance for Clients (webcast)

Tuesday, 11 March 2025 at 4 p.m. CET

On 26 February, 2025, the European Commission issued its Omnibus package setting out proposals for simplification across its sustainability reporting regulations, including the EU Taxonomy, Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CS3D) and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).

These changes will impact the sustainability strategy and reporting agendas of companies with significant business activities in the EU.

The Commission has a clear target to deliver an unprecedented simplification effort by reducing the administrative burdens. The proposals are deep and wide-ranging covering matters, for example: timing, scope, definitions of value chain, retaining the double materiality concept and removing the plan to move to reasonable assurance.

To seek to ensure our clients are supported to navigate the implications of these new regulatory developments, we are happy to invite you to a 60-minute EY Luxembourg Client Webcast.
